Spring JM launch & new feature
If you would like to join the launch group forum, here is the link:
We have a new feature in our Designer Directory. There is a new category to the Directory called Discount. Buyers can search by Free Shipping, % off purchase, $$ off purchase and Free gift with purchase.
So if you want to offer a discount to our readers, simply Login to your account, click ACCOUNT from the menu, click CATEGORIES, scroll to the bottom of the page and check which discount you want to offer. Hit UPDATE.
Then click ACCOUNT again, click PROFILE, and enter your offer in the Description box. Also be sure to clickI hope this is a fun (and profitable) idea for you.
We changed The Boutique Life!
Pick the right categories...
As I was perusing the directory, I noticed some of you are still in categories that aren't your main business. For example, those whose main business is making clothes are in the bows and auctions template categories.
While I know that you all have multiple talents, I would encourage you to choose those categories that best represent your MAIN business.
I will be sending out one more email today about choosing categories and then I will have to start editing the categories myself. I am really going to be advertising the Directory hard and would like it to be simple to find what the consumer is looking for. You should see the emails I get about it ;).
Thanks for understanding!
Amy

Get a $2.99 domain name!
If you want to start a website the first thing you need to think about is getting a domanin name registered. A domain name is the "address" or URL of a particular web site. For example: http://www.website.com. A domain name must be unique.
You can look to see if a potential name is available for you to use by visting Yahoo . Just type in the domain name you were thinking of using and it will tell you if it is taken or not.
If it is, then try different combinations until you find one you like.
Next step is to get it registered. I found that you can register your domain at Yahoo for only $2.99. That is a great deal. You can click on the banner below to be taken to Yahoo and start registering! They will try to get you to sign up for additional services, like hosting, but you don't have to do it (although their hosting plan is pretty reasonable.)
I just registered a bunch of names that I may or may not use. The sooner you register the better - than no one will be able to grab your name before you do.
