JM: Heather, where did you get the idea for your clippies?

HEATHER: I remember being big on bows for my baby sister when I was a teenager, but I didn't start creating until my own daughter was three.

JM: When did you start selling your designs on eBay and do you sell anywhere else besides eBay?

HEATHER:I began selling my hair accessories on ebay back in early 2004. My items are available at several places: My website: www.littleedesigns.com, I have a shoppe on Blossom St. Main with my friend Amy- lovemyapril, a couple of online boutiques including Pink Taffy Designs, and on my group's website: www.boutiquepop.com.

JM: Do you remember the first item you sold on eBay?

HEATHER:Actually, my very first sales were Eva's outgrown baby clothes! My first boutique-type item: a pair of hair flowers.

JM: Where did come up with your name?

HEATHER:My daughter's nickname when she was a tot: Little E.

JM: Do you belong to any boutique group?

HEATHER: My virtual home away from home, Boutique POP! I was a founding member. I loooove my little group! They are first and foremost my best friends. We have amazingly similar tastes and work so well together. We have a blast!

JM: If you could learn some new skills, what would they be?

HEATHER: There are so many things I'd love to try! I wish I had the time to really learn to sew. I dabble around with my sewing machine here and there but I've never had the time to focus on really getting good at it. I'd love to have the time to paint canvases like I used to, and I've always wanted to try my hand at cake decorating!

JM: What was your first job?

HEATHER: I was a lifeguard at the YMCA. I earned minimum wage...I think it was $4.25/hr back in the day. I never had to jump in and rescue anyone, thank goodness! I was always afraid I'd get in there and forget rescue protocol.

JM: What other things do you enjoy besides making great clippies?

HEATHER: I enjoy pretty simple things: Nice moments with my children, shopping with friends, chocolate cake...

JM: Anything else you would like to add?

HEATHER: Thanks so much for thinking of me... Journal Modiste has been bookmarked in my Favorites since it began! It's fab to be a part of it! Shout out to my great customers, too. You keep me wanting to keep creating!
