Designer of the Week - Little Creek Boutique

This week get to know LeAnn of Little Creek Boutique. She lives in Utah.

JM: What kinds of things do you make to sell?

LeAnn: I sell mostly girls clothing. Occasionally , when I'm worn out on sewing, I knit and/or crochet children's hats and other miscellaneous items.

JM: Where do you sell your designs?

LeAnn: At the moment I'm only selling on etsy and my website although I have sold on ebay for several years until a few months ago. My etsy id is littlecreekboutique and my website is www.littlecreekboutique.com

JM: When did the crafting bug first hit you?

LeAnn: I have known how to sew since I can remember. In fact I started sewing clothing for myself in the first grade, which seems crazy because I can't imagine a 6 year old sewing their own clothing. My mother is a seamstress and I would play all day in her sewing room. She would let me practice sewing with the needle out so I picked it up really early on.

JM: What inspired your business name?

LeAnn: I live next to a little creek. Naming my business was seriously one of the hardest things. I still am not completely satisfied with my business name, but can't think of a darn thing better.

JM: If you could learn some new skills, what would they be?

LeAnn: I would love to be a painter. I am amazed by those who can draw and paint well.

JM: What do you enjoy doing when away from crafting?

LeAnn: I love to garden, I enjoy running when I can, and love to just play with my three small children.

JM: Anything else you would like to add?

LeAnn: I love to sew. I can't imagine not being able to sew. My business is my hobby since two little ones and another on the way, but I've always used my sewing as my outlet and I hope to continue.
