JM: Natalie, when did you get started sewing and creating?

NATALIE: I started sewing in high school where my mom was the home economics teacher. I didn't think sewing was "cool" in high school. As a result, sewing became a hobby after our daughter was born. We had Olivia and I knew I had to start sewing!! My mom came over, gave me a "refresher" course, and the rest is history!!!

JM: When did you start selling your designs on eBay and do you sell anywhere else besides eBay?

NATALIE: I started selling my designs in February of 2004. Do you sell anywhere else besides eBay, if so where? I have some hair flowers I sell at a local boutique. I am hoping to have a website up soon!!(example, web site, local boutique) What did you do before eBay? I was a Special Education teacher prior to eBay. I still miss my fellow teachers and students. I loved my job!!!

JM: Do you remember the first outfit you sold on eBay?

NATALIE: Yes, I remember it too well!! LOL I am sure I have a picture, but don't know that I want it posted!! It was a pair of ruffled jeans and a "skirted" knit top. I think it sold for $35..........didn't get much for that set!!!

JM: How did come up with your name, Livvy Doos?

NATALIE: Our daughter's name is Olivia and we have a good family friend who started calling her Livvy Doos. I fell in love with it and the rest is history!

JM: Do you belong to any boutique group?

NATALIE: I am a member of the Queen Bees. How did you get started in that group? I knew a few of the members and they asked me to join. I love the overall atmosphere. We are all super laid back, love to have fun, and there are LOTS of laughs!!!

I am also a member of Boutique Fancies, a social group. This group is awesome and we have been creating for a while with each other. I look forward to their daily bits of advice and laughs. I have truly met some wonderful friends on eBay!!!

JM: Do you have a favorite item to create?

NATALIE: This is a tough one......I would say I love a variety of styles. I absolutely love ruffles and florals!! My overall goal is to create something Olivia can wear and stand out in a crowd!! I want to create designs that can be worn by the "average" child, but are extraordinary!!!

JM: If you could learn some new skills, what would they be?

NATALIE: I would love to learn how to embroider on my sewing machine. I would also like to learn how to crochet. Why are they important to you? I love the look of embroidery and believe it would be an awesome extention to my current designs.

JM: What was your first job? How much did you earn?

NATALIE: My very first job was babysitting. I babysat for the most amazing family. They lived across the street and treated me like I was part of their family. How much did you earn? I can't even remember.......I just knew they paid well!!!

JM: Was there an embarrassing moment you remember from that job?

NATALIE:I used to fall asleep on the sofa and they would have to wake me up. I always felt I had drool all over the place......LOL!!!

JM: What other things do you enjoy besides sewing?

NATALIE: I enjoy being a mother and wife. I have been blessed with the most amazing family! I also enjoy reading, shopping (addicted to fabrics!!), and talking.........love to gab!!!

JM: Anything else you would like to add?

NATALIE:Thank you to all my wonderful customers and friends. I have met some AWESOME people through eBay.

Do you have a question that you are dying to ask Natalie? Comment about something she said or designed? Post it here and she will answer it!

I love the hat and outfit Olivia has on at the top of your current auctions. That's my favorite. Do you plan to make more of that particular ensemble?
