JM: Angela, when did your interest in bow-making start?

ANGELA: My interest started when Lexi was born. She has (and still has) the thinnest hair ever! I had the most difficult time finding super cute hair bows that would actually stay in her hair.

JM: How did you learn?

ANGELA: I found some really cute bows and Nordstrom and began picking and plucking them and after TONS and TONS of practice, my first hair bow was born! Ever since then, I'm a hopeless bow addict! LOL! I must admit that I almost gave up on several occasions. Bow making takes a lot of practice because some of those folds can get really tricky, especially working with thin ribbon.

JM: When did you start selling your designs on eBay and do you sell anywhere else besides eBay?

ANGELA: I started selling my hair bows about 2-1/2 years ago. I made mostly big pigtail sets with criss-cross strips. Then about 2 years ago, I am proud to say that I brought the first LOOPY LOOP hair bows to Ebay, and it's so exciting to see how popular they have become ever since. They are still my best seller and my signature items both on ebay and my website. Beginning this year, I started selling princess gown hair bow holder and mini tutu hair bow holders. I mostly sell off my website at www.poshbowpeep.com and sell to shops worldwide.

JM: Do you remember the first item you sold on eBay?

ANGELA:Oh I do, but I don't have a picture anymore. It was a black and white strip pinwheel bow pigtail set. I think it sold for $15.00.

JM: Where did come up with your name?

ANGELA: I wanted a name with a fairy tale, nursery rhyme ring with a dash of class to it. There is the, of course, well-known Little Bo Peep from all the kids books. The word "posh" brings the sense of class to the name and that is how Posh Bow Peep was born!

JM: Do you belong to any boutique group?

ANGELA: Proudly ODOD. These women are super amazing, not to mention incredibly talented. They are very business driven, but at the same time personally there for everyone. They are really amazing!

JM: What are your favorite materials to work with?

ANGELA: Of course, RIBBON! My favorite is grosgrain with polka dots. I do love buttons too and have a button collection on my website.

JM: If you could learn some new skills, what would they be?

ANGELA:I would love to sharpen my photography and photo editing skills. I believe these things are the key to marketing my product.

JM: Can you tell us about your first job? How much did you earn?

ANGELA: I used to babysit when I was in junior high, and in high school, my first real job was at a store in the mall called, "Cignal". I did retail sales.

JM: What other things do you enjoy besides making great bows?

ANGELA: I enjoy spending time with my family either going to the parking, shopping, dining, watching movies - family stuff really.

JM: Anything else you would like to add?

ANGELA:Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my business!

Do you have a question that you are dying to ask Angela? Comment about something she said or designed? Post it here and she will answer it!
