JM: Jennifer, when did you get started sewing and creating?

JENNIFER: Oh my goodness I started sewing on my little Holly Hobbie sewing machine when I was around 3 years of age. I used to make little clothing out of socks for my babydolls and barbies. Who taught you? Both of my grandmothers (maternal and paternal) were both seamstresses and seen my pathetic little sewing skills and taught me then...they said if I could sew as good as I draw then I will do very well.

JM: When did you start selling your designs on eBay?

JENNIFER: I started selling my designs on Ebay back in Feb. of 2004.

I do sell on my website and I also sell to my local customers and some of the lovely ladies who I have on my mailing list

I really did not sell them, I made oodles of ensembles for my daughters along with matching jewels, painted shoes, and hair bows. I loved the look on their faces when someone would come up to them to compliment them on what they were wearing, I was then asked of course where I got it and I was ever so excited to let them know I had made it... then I pass out my business cards out.

JM: Do you remember the first outfit you sold on eBay?

JENNIFER: Ohh I do remember, it was called "Elegance in the Sun". It was a little 4 pc set that just was overall fun to make and I about fell off my chair when I sold it for 100 dollars.

JM: How did come up with your name, Bella Bee Boutique?

JENNIFER: It was very difficult to come up with a name for these designs, but my youngest one; Madeline Isabella is such a fru-fru kinda angel, so I thought naming the label after her would make sense.

JM: Do you belong to any boutique group?

JENNIFER: I do belong to a lovely new group; Dolly Lane. I leader of this group, which I started around 2 months ago. I love being in this group, I mean everyone in the group just meshes so well with the designs and their overall ideas, we have a lot of fun and we are all very driven to succeed

JM: Do you have a favorite item to create?

JENNIFER:I love to design with old vintage trims and go off of old vintage styles. Now this is just for now, I have always created with my emotions, so, for now, it is nostalgic...but check me out in a month and I could have the most chaotic design you have ever seen LOL...member I have 4 little angels :)

JM: If you could learn some new skills, what would they be?

JENNIFER: You know I can pick up anything crafty and figure it out...but for some reason I cannot knit or pretend to knit to save my life. My grandmas would knit me a hat and scarf in about 30 minutes. I can't even knit a line in 2 hours. I always try to do things that I know that my mee-maw and gran would do, they were truly a big part of my life.

JM: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

JENNIFER:Oh that is so easy! I would love to go to Tokyo Japan...the fashion capital of the WORLD! That place is so awesome from the movies and photos that I have seen. They are not afraid of going bold and they express themselves thouroughly through the clothing that they are wearing.

JM: What other things do you enjoy besides sewing?

JENNIFER: I enjoy reading to my children..playin with them. Candle lit dinners with my hubby, painting and sketching...oh and most important SHOPPING! :)

JM: Anything else you would like to add?

JENNIFER: I would like to add that I am very thankful and truly honored that you have chosen me to be the designer of the week here on JM. Thank you Amy you da' bomb diggety girl! ((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
