JM: Cree, when did you get started sewing and creating?

CREE: Throughout my childhood and into my early 20's I first learned and then taught ballet, tap and jazz. That's what got me started sewing, all those costumes first of all for me and then for my students. Lots of sewing and lots and lots of sequins!!!! My mum is an awarded seamstress and we've always worked together :)

JM: When did you start selling your designs on eBay?

CREE: I started selling on ebay just over a year ago - first on ebay Australia and then late last year on US ebay. I am also a very proud resident of Blossom St. I began in the Pavilion and was recently lucky enough to be invited by Mel of precious_toes_boutique to share her Main Shoppe. I also supply 2 boutiques here in Australia. I got started on ebay after my little girl was born, before that I was a lecturer in teaching German as a foreign language at Monash University here in Australia. I just got my PhD before Hettie was born. With all the lovely new German ladies on ebay I'm finding my German is coming in handy all over again!

JM: Do you remember the first outfit you sold on eBay?

CREE:Yes it was a Euro Twirl with every inset ruffle and piece of decoration I could squeeze onto it, it sold for 49.99 to a lady with twins who wanted two - I was sooooo excited!

JM: How did come up with your name, Bowznstuff?

CREE:Ugh I really don't like my name that much! It was great for when I started coz I used to sell bows and some other 'stuff' - I keep thinking I'll change but I never do!

JM: Do you belong to any boutique group and if so which one?

CREE: I currently don't belong to a design group but I do hang out with a specialised group of crazy appliquers Rockin' Bobbin. Recently I've really enjoy getting together with girls from all different groups and doing fun mini-launches. I love meeting new people and trying different things.

JM: Do you have a favorite item to create?

CREE: I love to create complete 'looks' with lots of frills - I love to have an idea of the way something should look and then go about constructing all the different bits and pieces - I am a bit of an accessory girl - so little touches like gloves, hair accessories, interesting decorations.

JM: If you could learn some new skills, what would they be?

CREE: I'd love to learn to be an interpreter, I can speak other languages, I can write them, I can translate but simultaneous interpretation that is SUCH a skill. I'd also like to learn to keep my house tidy and do my washing (laundry) before it grows to the size of a small country.

JM: What other things do you enjoy besides sewing?

CREE:I enjoy jogging (well I tell myself I do), I do love to read and I love having a good old chat with my girlfriends over coffee (and cake).

JM: Anything else you would like to add?

CREE: Thanks so much Amy for having me as designer of the week -I always thought oooo one day that might me be! I'm just thrilled. Journal Modiste is always such a smashing read and I'd love to say a big G'day from Downunder to all my friends on ebay!

It is such a joy to know and to work with you, mate! Gl´┐Żckwunsch! -Nancy (sT)
