JM: When did you get started sewing and creating?

TERRI: I started sewing when I was a girl. My mom used to sew matching outfits for our whole family, and I begged her to teach me how. I was always into crafty stuff I guess you could say I didn't really get the chance to sew alot till after my son was born. I started making care bear, and strawberry shortcake costumes for everyone in the neighborhood. I made 11 care bear costumes and four strawberry shortcake costumes that year and was hooked.

JM: When did you start selling your designs on eBay?

TERRI:I started selling right after my daughter was born. I had severe post pardom depression. I would sleep till four o'clock and could hardly function. Then my sweetheart twin sister sent me a package with fabric, ribbon, and notions in it to make my daughter a dress and bows. I came across ebay when I was trying to find bow instructions and found boutique overalls and couldn't believe how unique they were. I loved searching ebay to find new boutique things.

JM: Do you remember the first outfit you sold on eBay?

TERRI: First outfit I ever made for ebay was a pair of overalls that went for $50 I was so excited. Before that I had sold a strawberry shortcake outfit for $120 but it wasn't boutique. I didn't know what boutique was at the time lol.

JM: How did come up with your name, Sew*Divine?

TERRI: I have been so many names but I didn't like any of them. I came up with Sew Divine after typing in a hundred names (most of them being taken) and really liking the sound of this one. Divine means heavenly and those are the kind of designs I like to create. Things that are girly and divine.

JM: Do you belong to any boutique group?

TERRI: I am a proud member of TheChicks. who were formerly theStitchinchicks (we just shortened it to make it easier, were still stitchin). Since day one on ebay this group has been there with amazing talent. When they sent out the call for applications I jumped on it. I have always wanted to be a member and now I am and they are a wonderful group of girls. I love how they work together to overcome obsticals and have really made me welcome.

JM: Do you have a favorite item to create?

TERRI: I love creating anything timeless and girly - anything simple, sweet and innocent. I definitely love to incorporate vintage details, such as fabrics, buttons, trims, and patterns. I also love working with florals and cotton knits.

JM: What is your favorite thing to create?

TERRI: I love twirly, frilly, ruffly unique things. My favorite all time outfit was a dress I did last christmas with ruffles going all the way down. Otherwise I like to create jumpers with lots of ruffles and pants underneath. I like this style because it's girly, I love dressing my little girl up to look like a little girl and not in jeans and a t-shirt (unless they have ruffles lol)

JM: If you could learn some new skills, what would they be?

TERRI: I would love to learn to smock. I think it's beautiful. I would also love to learn more html, how to write better, and photography. It seems everything I'm interested in is tied to ebay which is why I love it so much.

JM: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

TERRI: Europe to get some of the really cute fabrics!

JM: What other things do you enjoy besides sewing?

TERRI:I love to clog (form of dance similar to tap). I also love to read my favorite books are lds mush love stories, fantasy books (lord of the rings, harry potter, etc) and books on sewing of course.
