JM: When did you get started sewing and creating?

SARAH: I've only been sewing for about a year. My sister gave me a kid's sewing machine when I was pretty young - I remember making barbie beds and pillows with it. lol Seriously sewing though, only about a year. My mother has sewn most of her life, and she does most of our sewing, along with teaching me while she goes.

SUE: I was taught to sew by my Grandmother. She taught home sewing classes when I was growing up. My fist outfit was a blue gingham skirt and a top with white rick rack. I made most of my clothes in high school and sewed off and on as I had children. I made a lot of their important outfits, my oldest daughters Wedding dress, my youngest daughters First Communion dress, and lots of play clothes.

JM: When did you start selling your designs on eBay?

SARAH: We started selling on ebay in August of 2006. It really amazes me how quickly all of this has gone!! We have sold some things on message board loops, and that's how we started selling in general. It was after a suggestion from a buyer that we started selling on eBay. Before eBay, I was a SAHM.. I still am, but now I have a way to make a little extra money out of it.

SUE:We started selling on ebay last summer and pretty much everything we sell is on ebay, even if we get the request from other boards. I had many other occupations before eBay. I worked in the telecommunications field, ran a curriculum lab for a school district, and most recently, worked for Gymboree

JM: Do you remember the first outfit you sold on eBay?

SARAH:The first thing we sold on ebay was a M2M Gymboree Summer Safari skirt. I still have to say that was one of my favorite skirts to make. I do have pics of it, and it sold for about $45.

JM: How did come up with your name, Full Circle Designs?

SARAH: Our name comes from two places. First off - nearly all of our designs have a twirl skirt in it. I have a very girly little girl who LOVES to twirl around. The circle comes from our skirts. The second place was from my mother and me. When I was younger, my mom used to sew clothing for me, and now I'm doing it for my own daughter, so we say that basically, we've come full circle. :)

JM: Do you belong to any boutique group?

SARAH: We belong to Charm Street . It's a new design group, and we just had our debut launch on Jan 18th!! I don't quite remember how we were invited, but Charm Street was originally The Garden Boutique. We loved every designer in the group, and actually "looked up" (so to speak) to several of the designers. It was such an honor to be in invited to the design group. When the group dissolved, we followed to Charm Street. I have to say that that group is the best group of ladies I've seen. Everyone is incredibly supportive, and while we've only known each other for a short time, the group has really come together and is close. I love going on to chat with all of the designers. To share ideas, to get ideas, etc. Every member of our group is so incredibly talented, I still can't believe we are actually a part of it! /p>

JM: Do you have a favorite item to create?

SARAH: I love to create anything new. I get bored of the same design over and over, I need something different every so often, so I'm always trying to find ways to tweak this design this way and that.

SARAH: Twirl skirts and peasant shirts. They are just fun to see the outfit go from pieces of fabric to a completed outfit!

JM: If you could learn some new skills, what would they be?

SARAH: ..I love to learn anything I can!! Right now, I'd love to learn how to paint shoes. I always love those shoes, and would love a new outlet to try.

SUE: Organizational skills! We have fabric, sewing machines, and magical threads all over the house! I would love to have it all in one place!

JM: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

SARAH:I think back to Italy. I went there as a freshman in high school with my choir. We went through everywhere so fast, not to mention I was very sleep deprived and sick, that I feel I missed half of it. I'd love to go back and really see everything.

SUE: Rome, Italy. Sarah and I went there in 2000 with her choir to sing for the Pope. I would love to go back with my husband! Or Alaska!

JM: What other things do you enjoy besides sewing?

SARAH:I love to read. I read anything and everything. I also love photography, my family laughs at me because anywhere we go, I sit there saying, "Omgosh, that is the best place for "such and such" outfit!!"

SUE: Playing with my granddaughters. I only have Kadie close to me and I spend as much time with her as I can. It's amazing to see her grow! I try to see my other granddaughters as much as time allows.

JM: Anything else you would like to add?

SARAH: I'm so honored that we were chosen for this feature, thank you for the opporunity. I also want to say thank you to everyone who have supported and helped us do this! I really love this little community!!

SUE: OMGoodness, Thank you so much for this!! We have found eBay to be so much fun. We have made so many new friends! I have sewed most of my life and am so glad I found it again. As my hubby says, My Grandmother would be so proud!
