1. When did you get started sewing and creating? Who taught you?

I started sewing when I was a little girl. I started making doll clothes with scissors, needle and thread and it slowly progressed from there. My mother, both grandmothers and older sisters have all taught me over the years. I have learned a great deal on my own by trial and error and lots of practice, practice, practice.

2. When did you start selling your designs on eBay? Do you sell anywhere else besides eBay, if so where? (example, web site, local boutique) What did you do before eBay?

I stared selling on ebay over 3 years ago. I presently do not sell my things anywhere else and before eBay I basically did the same thing, SAHM, only I didn't sew as much.

2a. Do you remember the first outfit you sold on eBay. Do you have a picture? What was it and what did it sell for?

Yep, and if I could find a picture of it I would quickly eliminate it!! It was made from vintage chenille and I think it sold for around $30.

3. How did you decide upon your name .

My name comes from a combination of childhood memories. First of all my grandfather was a sheep rancher and so I grew up hearing stories about that. Also when I was little my father would occasionally bring home baby lambs that had lost their mothers and I got to help take care of them. And then my Mom and Dad use to communicate on CB (citizen band) radios in their cars and my Mom's name was little lamb.

4. Do you belong to any boutique group and if so which one? How did you get started in that group? What do you like most about your particular group?

I belong to the Not So Plain Jaynes!!!!! I was contacted by one of the members last year asking if I would be interested in joining. I was thrilled!!! They are such a fun group of girls and they all have amazing talent. I really feel at home with the Jaynes!

5. What is your favorite thing to create? (example: vintage style dresses, totes, overalls, etc) Why?

This past year my favorite thing to create is anything BOY. I never thought it would be as fun to sew for my boys, but I have learned that ruffles and frills aren't everything. I love working with denims and cord, making big pockets, hoods and T's. It has been more fun than I ever imagined.

6. What are your favorite types of fabrics or fabric designers? Why?

I just love any kind of fabric and I love to try sewing on new things. My favorite designer though would have to be Amy Butler, but I usually tend to keep those fabrics for myself and my own little stash.

7. Where and when do you do most of your sewing? Are you neat about it or do you have fabric covering the floor!

There is hardly a day go by that I don't sew a little, or more often times, A LOT! I sew during nap times and after the kids are in bed at night and of course anytime they are happily playing trains or in the dirt. I'm lucky to now have my own sewing room so I can leave my mess out all day long. I like to start out with my room neat and tidy and then as I start pulling things out, snipping and stitching and it becomes a total disaster. It's usually messy for weeks at a time while I am working on projects. When I finish a group of projects, I clean it all up and then it starts all over again.

8. What other things do you enjoy besides sewing?

I like traveling with my family, getting together with my brothers and sisters or chatting with them online, baking, reading with the boys, play dates at the park with friends, and hanging out with my husband.

9.Anything else you would like to add?

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little more. I am constantly amazed at all of the talent on eBay and I feel privileged to be a small part of it. I just want to add a huge thanks to my many "e" friends and awesome customers that make what I do so much fun!!!
