>1. When did you get started sewing and creating? Who taught you?

>

My aunt taught me when I was 8…sewed throughout H.S….and then not again until I was pregnant with Olyvia.

>2. When did you start selling your designs on eBay? Do you sell anywhere else besides eBay, if so where? (example, web site, local boutique) What did you do before eBay?

>

Started selling my designs in 1999 on ebay. Started my business in Portland at Saturday Market…as a "hobby". I currently sell in various boutiques across the U.S. from California to New York. I was a mixed media artist prior to clothing design….as well as a waitress for MANY years.

>2a. Do you remember the first outfit you sold on eBay. Do you have a picture? What was it and what did it sell for?

>

I cannot remember, it was too long ago…but I believe it sold for 60.00…way back then!

>3. How did you decide upon your name?

>

I originally used vintage textiles EXCLUSIVELY…and the items I used came along "once in a blue moon"… and I always use that expression, or used to anyway.

>4. Do you belong to any boutique group and if so which one? How did you get started in that group? What do you like most about your particular group?

>

I am not a member of a group at this time.

>5. What is your favorite thing to create? (example: vintage style dresses, totes, overalls, etc) Why?

>

I have to say, my favorite things to create are the "Wild" looking sets…funky and a bit unusual to the average person. My favorite vintage textile to use is embroidered linens of any kind.

>6. What are your favorite types of fabrics or fabric designers?

>

I am a huge Amy Butler fan…and I would kill to get a hold of some vintage Peter Max fabric!

>7. Where and when do you do most of your sewing? Are you neat about it or do you have fabric covering the floor!

>

I have an old Craftsman home and the entire upstairs is my studio. It looks like a bomb went off in there most of the time… unless I have a client coming, then I get busy cleaning up.

>8. What other things do you enjoy besides sewing?

>

I enjoy being a Mom most of all…my daughter is my very favorite person without a doubt. I love water and anything having to do with being in or around it. I kayak, fly fish and love to swim. Surprisingly enough… I am actually a HUGE sports fan, too. I still do a bit of mixed media work, but time does not allow much of that these days!
